Syncing with HomeAway involves 2 parts. First is to import bookings from HomeAway to Uplisting and second is to export unavailabilities from Uplisting to HomeAway.

Part 1. Importing bookings from HomeAway to Uplisting

The following instructions are from HomeAway and can be found on their help forum here.

1.1 On HomeAway

  1. Sign into your HomeAway account
  2. Click Calendar
  3. Click Export Calendar
  4. Copy the URL

1.2 On Uplisting

  1. Select the listing on Uplisting you wish to sync with the HomeAway listing above
  2. Select the 'Connect' button on the HomeAway row
  3. Paste the iCalendar link copied from HomeAway (above), shown in figure 1 below.
  4. Click 'Next sync availabilities' button to export your unavailabilities to HomeAway (instructions below).

2. Exporting unavailabilities from Uplisting to HomeAway

2.1 On Uplisting
Copy the 'sync availabilities' iCalendar link provided on Uplisting

2.2 On HomeAway

  1. Go to your HomeAway account. Click Calendar.
  2. Select the correct property.
  3. Click the Import/Export Calendar icon.
  4. Click Import Calendar.
  5. Give the calendar a name.
  6. Select a color to represent the calendar.
  7. Paste the calendar URL that you copied from Uplisting.
  8. Select whether the calendar will block availability. (Note: in order to block availability, the event must span at least one night.)
  9. Click Import Calendar.

3. Testing the connection

  1. After you have imported bookings and exported your unavailabilities (above), click 'Next test connection'
  2. Wait a few seconds as Uplisting imports any HomeAway bookings. You will see the number of bookings imported, and any bookings will now be displayed on the calendar.
